Many of London’s famous venues and party venues originated as illegal party venues in immense warehouses, dilapidated market halls, dingy railway stations or abandoned factory buildings, which makes them interesting not only from a cultural and sociological, but also from an architectural point of view. After documenting the charms of Parisian brasserie culture in 2014, photographer Henk van Cauwenbergh now captures the essence of London’s extravagant club scene and its most iconic entertainment venues.
