As a third-generation florist, British designer David Ragg was raised to love flowers and developed a special sense of aesthetics at an early age. His vision of floral design is simple and straightforward, but extremely effective.

For Ragg, working with flowers should be fun, inventive and exciting, while the final product should primarily provoke reactions. According to him, contemporary design is not about forcing materials into a concept, the design should especially accentuate the personality of the flowers. In practice, his philosophy leads to very diverse creations, from playful ready-mades to extremely subtle compositions. David Ragg was previously co-author of Stichting Kunstboek’s successful book One Colour Bouquets, and in this first monograph he proves the surprising versatility of his creative talent.
